Messi Confirms Transfer to MLS Club Miami

Messi, who recently left PSG, was also linked with a return to Barcelona. However, due to LaLiga’s financial fair play rules, Barcelona was unable to make the move happen. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo and Sport newspapers, Messi stated that he has decided to go to Miami. He mentioned that the decision is not yet finalized, but he and his family want to leave Europe and the spotlight. Messi, who recently led Argentina to victory in the World Cup, expressed his desire to experience football in a different way and enjoy a more peaceful environment in the U.S. league. His move to MLS is a big win for the league, and it is expected to drive viewership to the Apple TV streaming platform. Additionally, Messi’s contract is expected to pave the way for him to have an ownership stake in a club after he retires. Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, is currently at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. Messi will have his work cut out for him as he joins the struggling team. This move comes after Messi’s departure from PSG and his previous exit from Barcelona due to financial difficulties and lack of a future project at the club.
