Vietnamese fashion designer launches new collections in China

During Harbin Fashion Week, 28 designers from around the world unite to showcase their unique collections, each representing the culture of their respective countries.
The beauty of Vietnamese women is highlighted in the new collections created by talented designer Thuy Nguyen.


Thuy presents various long dresses made from traditional fabrics such as cotton, silk and satin, featuring vibrant colors.
Each creation is inspired by the stories and dreams that the designer discovered while interacting with local women during her visits to remote locations across the country.
The locally acclaimed designer graduated from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts and obtained a master’s degree from the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Ukraine in 2003.
She is not only a renowned fashion designer but also an accomplished visual artist involved in painting, art installations, as well as movie and fashion design.
In 2011, she opened her first store in Ho Chi Minh City. Her designs often revolve around themes such as motherhood, homeland, spirituality, and nature.

The Colours of Love

From the first community music project From an aspiring and romantic idea, Diversity Choir was formed in November 2019 under the initiative of the Institute of Social, Economic and Environmental Research (iSEE). This was the first community music project in Vietnam. Only a short time after the announcement, over 200 people registered for audition. They were needy people in the society, including teenagers, youths, the elderly, people with disabilities, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) people, and domestic violence victims. The choir’s director and conductor, Nguyen Hai Yen, who is also Deputy Director of Sol Art Centre, has selected 70 members, aged from 7 to 74. All of them have not previously sung in any choirs. Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation Between the Capitals of Vietnam and Egypt Signed

On July 27, representatives from the capital cities of Hanoi and Cairo signed a friendship and cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, who was on an official visit to Egypt.
